RT8026為高效率，脈波寬度調變(PWM)的降壓型 DC/DC 轉換器，可輸入範圍2.7V 至5.5V，輸出電流可達1A，適用于由單一鋰電池供電的可攜式電子裝置，例如行動電話、PDA等掌上型裝置。RT8026具有兩種操作模式：可自動切換PWM/低壓差 操作狀態的工作模式與關機模式。由於內建低RDS(ON)的同步整流元件，可大幅減低操作在PWM模式時的電流導通損耗。此外，不需外加蕭特基二極體於實際設計中。RT8026當PWM操作時無法連續導通上端P-MOSFET時，進入低壓降模式。當EN腳位為低電位時，進入關機模式，消耗電流小於0.1μA。由於操作在固定頻率1.5MHz，切換漣波可由較小封裝的元件進行濾波設計。 採用MSOP-10的小型封裝可應用於較小的PCB面積設計中。其它的特色中包括緩啟動、具2%精確率的內部低參考電壓、過溫保護與過電流保護等機制。
